Frequently Asked Questions

What Rule Set Do You Use?

Current matches run by CASS use the PCSL rulebook with modified courses of fire to create "tactical" feeling stages. We use walls instead of fault lines and our courses of fire adjust magazine capacity so that skills such as reloads and pistol transitions are tested.

What Should I Bring?

For PCSL matches, the minimum equipment is a rifle with sling, a handgun with holster (No SERPA or Uncle Mike fabric holsters), magazines / 100 rounds for each. We require all contestants wear safety glasses and electronic ear protection.

How Are Events Run? / How Should I Show Up?

Please show up before the safety briefing with all guns cased and unloaded. After check in with the match staff, you may holster your COLD handgun at a safety area. ALL FIREARMS ARE COLD UNTIL INSTRUCTED TO LOAD BY A RANGE OFFICER. Do not handle firearms outside of supervision of a range officer or in a designated safety area. The setup team arrives a few hour before the event to move the props to the bays if you would like to help out.
